Personality: Flint is an old, experienced kuku. Before coming to Lyra's loaf he was a wild lone kuku who had spent much of his life hunting and fending for himself. For an old boy he knows his fair share of tricks and even though the youngsters may seem fitter and faster than he is, this wily kuku can still run rings around them thanks to his cunning alone. When teamed up he will usually hunt with Gunner who he considers his equal in the loaf, but if he is with one of the youngsters he does his best to impart his knowledge and put them in their place when they refuse to listen.
