Personality: no one knows how old he is and from where he came. He just... exists, somehow. He's old, cranky, has a lot to complain about and he risks his life even with a nice walk on the beach, but he's always there. He has a wide knowledge about the sea, its perils and its perks. He knows the winds and the currents, remember stuff that it's not even written down in some unknown annals. It's totally understandable if you don't believe to his stories, but you'll change your mind after seeing with your own eyes that he was saying the truth.
