Personality:
Jacques doesn't tend to get angry often, though he does shout a lot, more for a lack of being able to control his 'indoor voice' than anything else. He's easily exciteable, especially when treasure or adventure (or alcohol; everyone loves a night out at the tavern) are mentioned. Expresses his emotions pretty openly; no stoic leader to be found here. The exception to that is when his temper is raised, he has very cold anger, clamming up and going silent. That's when you know you've pissed him off. Most of the time, though, he's happily joking and ribbing with his crew.
Jacques grew up in Ireland and a series of events early in his life lead him to piracy. He worked his way up the ranks, honing his skills and hopping from ship to ship until he settled well with the crew of The Adventure. In relatively short time, he became captain of the vessel. The crew is pretty tight-knit and Jacques knows they all very personally; their names, jobs, skills, likes, and dislikes. They live a life of freedom out on the open seas, sailing from port to port and seeking out adventure and plunder.
Then, one day, Jacques was on the wrong end of a fight with a Voodoo queen and had his human body swapped for one that was a lot taller and fluffier; a Kukuri.
