Kay is distant and cold, always on his sadly very common worse days glaring and naging at others like they were personally to be blamed for all of his problems. Kay has never had a healthy relation with his anger and frustration, leading to him lashing out very easily at others for not having a better outlet for his emotions. Even though he tries very hard to be nice and friendly to others, he usually ends up just being not so desirable company due to his rough behavior and regular rage attacks. Kay has a lot of trouble with social bonding and cannot seem to find his place in the world, making him often wallow in self-pity. Kay doesn't make friends easily and even with his family and those he considered somewhat like friends, he has always felt disliked and dismissed to some degree. Deep down he just craves for the acceptance, affection and unconditional love he's never felt like he was given but is very reluctant of showing this to anyone - except these days to Area who has become very dear to Kay even if the crimson rook hesitates admitting it straight up for now.
